It might not be making the book of best high school gyms, but the photos I take here are always great, because the lights in the gym are brighter than most colleges I’ve shot in. Formerly known as “The Rebels” since it’s creation in 1957, the now predominantly African-American school changed its mascot to the “Red Wolves” in 2020. While the sword carrying, Confederate grey wearing, “Richie Rebel” wasn’t used in school designs for some time, the name Rebels held a little too much baggage and was replaced.

Although I still can’t believe it was ever approved this far north of the Mason-Dixon line, but then again, maybe I can.
